The pressures of the recent financial crisis, impending environmental problems, and the crucible of energy politics collectively present immense challenges to future generations, and compel society to develop alternative models of business and cooperation. The circulation of information, sharing of successful methods, and a policy of transparency are essential features in imagining a new future and creating the conditions for its development.
PlanetNext Training and Placement aims to contribute to this goal by providing training and direction for those who will plan and implement the projects of tomorrow. The courses on offer will be of varying lengths and degrees of specialization, employing both formal and informal methods of education with an emphasis on field experience and hands-on training. Our task, however, is not limited to training; we will also make available our capabilities and network of contacts in order to facilitate the Placement, so that new professionals are connected to potential employers.
Particular areas of instruction include the training of technicians in the production, editing, and publishing of multimedia content; the training of reporters specializing in ethical finance, sustainable development, microcredit and international cooperation, and domestic and international politics as they relate to developing nations.
PlanetNext Training & Placement offers, in addition, programs of life-long learning and e-learning on the same issues, as well as courses for NGO staff preparing for missions in developing nations and/or for those responsible for their training.
Training & Placement’s aim of providing skills and fostering talent forms part of PlanetNext’s general strategy of contributing to the promotion and strengthening of the principles of a fair society at the core of the global economic system, and protecting the rights of future generations.
